Sport Auto magazines takes the 2012 BMW M5 to the race track and records on camera a mind blowing top speed of 314 km/h or 186 mph 195 mph. Earlier this month, the same automotive magazine clocked the F10 M5 at 1:12.9 on the Hockenheim circuit. Previous generation E60 M5 was clocked on the same circuit at 1:15.6, while the powerful ALPINA B5 BiTurbo did a little better: 1:14.5.
During the same test, from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h), the F10 M5 stopped the clock at 4.1 seconds, and at 12.4 seconds, it already achieved 124 mph (200 km/h).

Power for the F10 M5 comes from a TwinPower turbocharged V8. The high-revving 4.4-liter (4395cc) turbocharged uses the BMW M TwinPower Turbo technology, twin-scroll turbochargers, high-precision direct fuel injection, Valvetronic variable valve control and a cross-bank exhaust manifold. The car produces 560 horsepower from 5,750-7,000 rpm and 502 lb-ft of torque from only 1500rpm.
