We expect the M6 convertible will bow at this September’s Paris motor show, with U.S. sales to follow shortly thereafter. Look for the M6 cabrio to run the same powertrain as the coupe: a 5.0-liter, 500-hp, 383-lb-ft V10 matched to a seven-speed sequential manual gearbox. BMW’s biggest challenge with the convertible will be maintaining a rigid structure in a soft-top while keeping curb weight restrained within reasonable range of the hardtop’s 3909 pounds.
