"The BMW-OEM rebuilds are clearly not good as new and they are recycling/reusing most parts. If you get a fresh synchro & handful of new springs and detents, you're lucky. The sad part is the $5K+ pricetag and their sole-source strategy. As a track day enthusiast, this is what compelled me to investigate other options for spares and repair. OEM rebuilt trannys are simply not affordable for amateur race day & weekend warrior use."
