Now the most potent variant of the fifth model generation is set to continue this success story with the exclusive BMW M5 “Competition Edition”, the production of which is limited to 200 worldwide.



Naturally the BMW M5 “Competition Edition” is an especially beautiful and thrilling M model. But we’ll get to that in a moment. Let’s start with the most important data first: 441 kW/600hp, 700 Newton metres, (combined fuel consumption: 9.9 l/100 km, combined CO2 emissions: 231 g/km). This means that the BMW M5 Competition Edition ranks among the most powerful automobiles in the model history of the BMW brand ever. And it’s one of the fastest, too. The BMW M5 “Competition Edition” which comes as standard with an M dual clutch transmission featuring Drivelogic, sprints from 0 to 100km/h in just 3.9 seconds.



Output alone, however, isn’t enough. The Competition Package includes a suspension lowered by 10 millimetres and a firmer setup of spring and damper systems and stabilizers. This means that handling properties are improved even further. The specific control setting for the Active M differential ensures further optimized traction and the steering system with M specific Servotronic function featuring a more direct control map enhances the car’s agility even further. In addition, the M Dynamic Mode of the stability control system DSC (Dynamic Stability Control) has been further aligned to sporty handling characteristics - suitable for both everyday and race track use.

The BMW M5 “Competition Edition” is available in two exclusive BMW Individual body colours - 100 vehicles in Carbon Black metallic and 100 in Mineral White metallic. The 20-inch, forged and polished, double-spoke M light alloy wheels in Jet Black finish and with mixed tyres (265/35 ZR20 at the front, 295/30 ZR20 at the rear) and the carbon fibre BMW M Performance Parts underscore the car’s outstanding handling characteristics. Carbon fibre parts such as the rear diffuser, the gurney and the mirror caps set further dynamic accents. The high gloss black kidney grille and the exclusive side gills bearing the lettering ”M5 Competition” add the finishing touches to the car's premium appearance.



Immediately after entering the car using the Comfort Access function, the interior underscores the uniqueness of the BMW M5 “Competition Edition”, for example with carbon fibre interior trim strips bearing the logo “M5 Competition 1/200” and the “///M” lettering on the headrests. The Merino Black full leather trim with contrast stitching in Opal White surrounds driver and passenger on the M multifunctional seats thereby achieving the perfect balance between comfort and sport.



If the thrilling sound of the 600 hp M Twin-Power Turbo 8-cylinder petrol engine should not be entertaining enough for once, there is also a 1,200 watt Bang & Olufsen High End Surround System. To make sure that the driver can focus all his attention on feeling the thrill of sheer driving pleasure, the BMW Head-Up Display beams the most important information directly into his field of view.
